Warner Bros. Home Entertainment serves fans with a sequent of the Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge. The Mortal Kombat Legend: Battle of the Realms is set to be released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. You already got one film on your summer’s movie bucket list!
The release date of Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms is August 31. If you missed the first movie, you could get yourself a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack. The preorders for Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD began on June 28, while the digital preorders will start on July 8.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms picks up from the Scorpion’s Revenge explosive finale. In this film, the enemy forces of Shaolin Kahn besiege the team of heroes. Raiden and his team have no option except to get into a deal with their rivals.
The pact involves a competition in a final Mortal Kombat that will determine the destiny of the realms. Multiple events take place simultaneously; the heroes travel to the Outworld to protect the Earth realm.
The scorpion has to find the ancient Kamidogu before it empowers the resurrection of the One Being that would otherwise destroy everything in the universe. In this film, time is running out, and the characters are high in the adrenaline-fuelled continuation of the Mortal Kombat journey.
The Mortal Kombat characters in this film include Jordan Rodrigues as Liu Kang. He will be playing the main hero in the film since the storyline focuses on him pursuing his destiny to conquer Shao Kahn.
Alongside him we have Patrick Seitz as Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi, Artt Butler as Shang Tsung and Cyrax, and Robin Atkin Downes as Shinnok and Reiko.
We also have Dave B. Mitchell as Raiden/Kintaro and Sektor, Ike Amadi as One Being and Jax Briggs, Grey Griffin as Kitana, Mileena, and Satoshi Hasashi, and Fred Tatasciore as Shao Kahn.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms presents new characters who include Matthew Mercer as Stryker and Smoke, Bayardo De Murguia as Sub-Zero/Kuai Liang, Matthew Yang King as Kung Lao, Paul Nakuachi as Lin Kuei Grandmaster, Emily O’Brien as Jade, and Debra Wilson as D’Vorah.
John McHale and Jennifer Carpenter are not done yet with the Mortal Kombat. They will be part of the Battle of the Realms after voicing Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge.
We also see the return of the filmmakers behind the Scorpion’s Revenge film in this movie. They include director Ethan Spaulding, screenwriter Jeremy Adams, executive producer Sam Register, creative consultant Ed Boon who co-created the legendary video game with John Tobias, and producers Jim Krieg and Rick Morales.
Mortal Kombat commenced as a game in 1992 and has sold over 49 million copies. Later in 1995, it was adapted as a live-action movie and recently unleashed a fresh line early this year, hard-R reboot.
The Battle of the Realms is coming to viewers from Warner Bros. Animation in partnership with NeatherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Warner Bros. Entertainment will be releasing it in late summer.
